Acupuncture
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese healing system which began with the observation that stimulation of specific areas of the skin can affect the function of certain organs of the body. It involves the insertion of very fine sterilised, disposable needles into the body surface at specific points. The needles will stay in place for maximum 20 minutes and it’s usually painless and sensations like little twinges are felt. Different manual techniques are used to manipulate the acupuncture points with needles. The Chinese and Japanese have refined and perfected the techniques and developed different styles.
